Waiting till you're ready!


Single women with dependent children make up 26% of women living in poverty. The best prevention for this? Do not put yourself in a situation where you are responsible for another person until you are able to be responsible for yourself! It is socially accepted to be selfish as a young women, but you loose that opportunity when you are a young mother. Give yourself the chance you deserve; Wait until you are ready to have a family!

Planned Parenthood is an organization that has been in place for over 90 years. Their main focus has been on the health and safety of women, preventing unintended pregnancies and helping families and individuals make informed decisions.

Many women take a leave from their education to be the primary caregiver to their children. It is important for women to know that they do have options. You can choose to go back to school! Why are more women living in poverty than men? The question is simple, but the answer is not. Why is there is a 22% gap in the average annual income when comparing men and women?

FACT : A woman between the ages of 25 - 32 with a bachelors degree will receive 14% less than a man with the same qualifications!


Women are commonly tracked into female dominated industries or "pink collar jobs". Women are tracked into “pink-collar” jobs such as teaching, child care, nursing, cleaning, and waitressing, which typically pay less than jobs in industries that are male-dominated. Nearly half—43 percent—of the 29.6 million employed women in the United States are concentrated in just 20 occupational categories, of which the average annual median earnings were $27,383.
